As someone who still details cars on the side for friends and family, I have not run into anything much better than this:
Optimum Opti-Bond Tire Gel 32 oz. : Amazon.com : Automotive
Not ultra sheen bright; it lasts for 2 to 3 months seeing average amounts of water; it beads well. Just make sure the tires are clean, uber clean before applying.

Never tried it myself and it's a bit expensive, but this semi-permanent product is supposed to be great.......

I recently ordered this in order to meet a minimum for a free shipping requirement. It had a lot of great reviews and I like the fact that the first coat is not too shiny. I'll let you know how it goes.
I've used a lot of products over the years and none have been the perfect product for me. The best looking product so far was the Black Magic gel, but it flings no matter how well you try to manage the application or let it sit. I may try that Optimum stuff next time because I love their no-rinse product. :boink:
ETA - I used to use the Meguiars Hot Shine spray without issue and decided to get a 3 pack of the foam last year from a wholesale store because it was cheaper and I figured it would work the same and be easier to spray... I did notice some slight browning on the tires though after a week or two, but nothing nearly that bad. I may need to test out this other stuff. I'll be pissed if it messes up the new tires.
