Tire Indicator light on

Hey guys, I've got a problem with my 05 4Runner. My tire indicator light is on, but my tires are all ok. I've got 20" rims on my 4Runner also. I haven't checked the pressure on them, but from visual view they look ok. What can be the problem?

You can tell the exact tire pressure just by eyeing it eh? Get out a gauge and actually check them.

The most common suspect is the spare tire. It also has TPMS and no one seems to remember to check it. I guess most people don't put the spare into rotation (I do) or I doubt it would happen as often.

Yes, check the spare. Also, remember that the tire pressure changes with the air temperature. More in this thread.

Sorry, what I meant was my tires didn't look low or flat from visual view. Is there anyway to reset the light or just check the spare tire. Then it'll reset itself?:beer:

The light should reset itself.

It's getting cold outside...

What is interesting is if you do a search on the TPMS, a good chunk of the threads start each year around OCT or NOV. How do I know? This week in southern MN we received our first low-30's temp, and my TPMS light came on. Came on here to do a little research and found that many times the light will go because your pressure(s) are down due to the cold.

So, I filled up all 5 of my tires, and now no more light.

Cold Temps=Lower tire pressure=TPMS light. Simple as that.
