Tire Newbie Question (Firestone Destination M/T)

I am planning to pick up Firestone Destination M/T Load "D". I would like to know if these tires are ok for daily driver/highway use and can be run at 85mph?

I like the aggressive look for my 1998 T4R 3rd Gen that I use as a daily and will not be used for any off roading.

Just so ya know, a Q speed rated M/T is a massive step down in pavement performance and safety margin. I hope you REALLY want the look.

Yeah, they'll handle 85 but pressure is critical especially in hot weather.

YES, its ok to run them. I had them tires on my 99 and was my daily driver, I wouldnt suggest driving a lifted SUV at 85MPH, lol (thought Ive done it)
now I have them tires on my 04, LOVE them.
Rotate them every 6K miles, and your should get 50K miles out of the tires, not bad for a MT tire :beer:

Actually, I am running on stock suspension. I am looking to pick up a 265/754x16...

...so I guess it should be ok to daily drive this tires?

I dont think you'll find anyone who will recommend a Mud Terrain when it is your intention to do 85. It just does not seem like the first priority when looking at that type of tire. If you are choosing a tire for looks, consider an agressive all terrain like the Goodyear Duratrac, Pro-Comp Extreme A/T, Mickey Thompson ATZ. They probably have the same speed rating, but will handle better. M/T's are not all that fun on the road.

You could also consider more mainstream tirs like the REVO, Toyo AT or Nitto TG.

yup, rooks got it right. my micky thompson atz handle very well on the highway & are pretty quiet to boot.
