Tire options for a stock TE

I will be getting a 2011 4runner TE here in the next week or so and wanted to arrange getting the tires swapped out since the stock tires seem quite mediocre…

Thinking of Revo 2’s in stock size but I seem to remember some people fitting 285’s on a stock TE. I can’t find that in the search right now though… Can they fit?

I went with the stock size Revo 2s and couldn't be happier. Smooth ride and handling and still very capable off-road. I think you'll really like them. BTW - my local tire shop swapped out the stock Bridgestones for the Revo 2s and I just paid the difference. I had that all negotiated and prearranged before I took delivery of the truck.

Good to know. The Revo's do look like a good compromise for someone who wants a balanced on and off road performance. They also look 10 times better then the stock tires…

I installed goodyear silent armor on my TE today. See image attachments:

KM2's have served me well so far. And they look fine on a TE.

Did some more searching here and there seems to be people putting 285/70/17's on stock TE's. Some minor mods to fix some rubbing but they fit.

I am considering 285's in either a Michelin LTX AT2's, Goodyear Silent Armor's, or Revo 2's.
