tire pressure monitors with wheel swap

iam going to change the rims on my 2005 runner sport it has tire pressure monitors does anyone know how yu compinsate for that when you switch to after market rims .can you switch it off somehow and take your tirepressure the old fashioned way

i swapped mine on to after market wheels with no problem
