I bought 4 new tires and the garage broke one of the tire pressure sensors They have replaced the sensor but Toyota says the sensor must be reprogrammed and wants to charge $34 plus tax. The garage says the sensor should be ready to go and can be reprogrammed manually. Any help?

No easy fix here. Did you record the serial number off the TPM before the tire shop installed it? Not too many places other than the stealer have the right scan tool. You need them to use their tool to program in the serial number of the new TPM and initialize it ("wake it up".) You should let the tire shop know the amount up front so they know you are sending them the bill. Better yet, let them deal with the stealer directly.
