Tire pressure sensor light

I was wondering if there is a way to disable to tire pressure light on my dash w/o causing any major problems/headaches. I am positive it is because I do not have my spare tire mounted. I am thinking about putting it on top or will my 265/70R17 fit where the old spare was? Thanks in advance

your right its the spare that is causing this. The 265/70/17 will fit fine thats what I have
