Tire pressure warning light.

I have a 17 ORP with KO2’s. The tire pressure warning light starts to blink after the tires will arm up and eventually it will go on and stay on for a few miles then go off. Itook it to my dealer and was told that it’s because the KO2’s were not filled to the specs the sensors are set for so they upped my tire pressure to 40psi. The light has not come on but the ride is really rough.

The specs of the sensors sounds like bs and running at 40psi is definitely bs. Two questions: anyone have any advice about the warning light an what psi should I be at for winter driving?

Depending on what KO2's you're running you should probably be at least 38psi or higher. There's a lot of discussion on here about proper inflation pressures for LT rated tires. I run 38psi in my C-rated 265/70-17 KO2s. I think the E-rated KO2s require even higher pressure.

Your pressure just has to be EVEN in all 5 tires (don't forget spare) and you can run 32 psi or what ever you preffer.

I'm having a similar issue with my truck. 2017 SR5. I put Toyo Open Country 33" tires on with new wheels, bought brand new sensors, and the tire pressure light blinks for 90 seconds then stays on. It basically means that the sensors aren't being recognized by the vehicle's CPU.

I've worked with multiple places (local shop & town fare tire where the sensors came from) and nobody can figure this thing out...the local shop recommended I buy an aftermarket controller to turn it off and just check my psi...but it's a brand new truck. I want it to function properly.

Any help would be greatly appreciated!
