Tire Questions

Hi ... I have an 03 Sport and I've been running Toyo Open A/T (265/65/17) for the last couple of years.

Well, it is time to replace the tires and, as I've been looking around, I have come across what looks to be an amazing deal on BFG Mud Terrains in 265/70/17. Will I have any problems by going to this bigger tire? Also, does anyone have any experience / opinions on these? I'll be doing a lot of freeway driving but will be in the snow a lot this coming winter (Tahoe area). I don't go offroad that much but it is definitely a factor.

I'm not a fan of M/Ts if I was doing alot of highway driving and some A/Ts might suit you better in the snow.

GY makes those new Duratracs and Wal-mart exclusively sells a similar version and both have pretty agressive tread pattern.

yea, if you do alot of highway driving, i wouldnt get any brand of MT tire, they wear down faster. stay with an at. with only that slight difference in tire size, your speedo will only be off about 3.4 %, so if it reads 60 your doing 62, any speed lower is even closer to exact. if you go to this home page, enter the 3rd gen page, click on speedo fix with bigger tires, theres a link to a calculator to find the difference.
