Tire Rack Monte TITANO MT216

In my quest to find a good 285 size rim, i've discovered that alot of the stock 17" rims are only 7" wide. Not very good for size 285 tires. I went on tire rack and found a design i liked:
Monte TITANO MT206 Rocca-6.
But upon more reasearch of the brand, i found that they aren't very good quality. (easier to crack off-road apparently). My question is has anyone bought a rim from Tire Rack? How good are they? Is the lower quality metal a big deal?

I was looking to buy FN Fox Pro rims or TRD PRO rims but can't find anywhere to buy them (i have a Limited VIN so dealers wown't sell me the TRD Pro Rim, and i can't find FN Fox Pro for sale anywhere. Apparently they are so in demand the manufacturer can't keep them in stock.)

BTW what do you think about the rim design?

TRD Pro wheel is available as an accessory. Doesn't matter on vin.... some dealers.... their parts personnel are junk haha

Some of the previous special edition vehicles did need the VIN. The parts guy may also be talking about the shortage from a few months back. When there was a shortage, you needed proof of ownership to get the wheel. They didn't want owners to be screwed because the wheel became so popular.

When the FJ Trail Team vehicles had special wheel colors, the same was required: VIN. Proof of ownership to avoid inventory issues for actual owners that need it for a replacement part.

But the shortage ended about 2 or so months back... maybe management didn't tell him. He's losing sales.

Dang i thought most people with TRD Pro wheels ran 285. What wheel are you guys running?

I run a 285/70/17 on a 7" wide 5th gen SR5 wheel. That's the widest sized tire you should run IMO before switching to a 8"'or 9" wide (presumably aftermarket) wheel, but plenty of people run that sized tire on factory wheels. When aired down you're less likely to unseat a bead on the tire when running a narrower wheel vs say a 9" aftermarket wheel. If I ever switch to an aftermarket wheel, I wouldn't go wider than 8" for that reason. I ran 255/80/17 (skinny 33") on the same wheels I listed above and was too nervous to air down lower than 18psi for fear of unseating a bead.

There's a picture of a cement trd pro on 315/70r17. Your 285s will do just fine.
