Tire recs for highway

Ive decided to upgrade my tires and plan to go to 265-70-17s. Like everyone says - the dunlops just arent great looking/performing tires.

Ive seen everyone recommend the Nittos and Revos for offoad and highway use . . . .

But, Im looking for something just for the highway. I like how the 70s fill the tire well and I dont want to have to put on a lift. If Im just going to be using the truck for highway/street driving what tires would yall recommend??

I put on the Fortera Silent Armors in 265/70/17 and absolutely love them. Very smooth, very quiet, very comfortable.

I put 265-75R-17s on my '04 4Runner SR5. They cleared fine in the back, of course, since I didn't have to turn in the back. Up front, however, I had to put 1.5" spacers on the suspension to clear the tires. It ended up leveling the truck and giving it a nicer stance.

I'd reccommend the Bridgestone Alenzas in the 265/70/17. I just put these on last November and they're great tires. They're always ranked 1 or 2 with the Forterra on tirerack, and I got them for $140 a tire.

Michelins are renowned for their quietness, low rolling-resistance, and long life... I think the Michelin Cross Terrains come in stock size. Expensive but most people say they're worth it.

No doubt. You can't go wrong with either one. I put the Alenzas on my girlfriend's Tahoe and they are great.

I guess it just comes down to preference and/or price.

Thanks for the replies - Ill look through the reviews/ratings on those tires and pick one.

Did anyone do anything to try to correct the speedometer and mpg gauges?

Would you mind posting pics of your 4runners with the tires? Ive seen a few different pics scattered around but pics of these specific tires would be really appreciated . . . .Im really curious how jcurtis1806's 4runner looks. . .

Also, the 275-17 with a spacer have any pics?

Surely with such nice trucks you have pics laying around??

I can't answer for Nitto's , but for on road use & lt.snow I would go Revo , but for all terrain on/off road , Hvy.snow & Lt. mud I would go BFG AT.

I've heard great thing's about Nitto AT and would love to try them , but will go to BFG because I've had them before and think they are a great tire for the best of both world's.

275/60/17 Toyo Proxes S/T....fantastic tires all while being M+S rated and can handle about as much off road ability as the Dunlops
