tire rotations

came back from meineke. they said that switching right to left or left to right tires will cause vibrations because of the directions of the treads. switching from front to back is okay though.....any thoughts? i wanted to switch left/rights because of loss of tractions and steering wear (peel outs/ road conditions etc...where wear isnt the same on left and right side)

Unless you have directional specific tires, there should be no problem with rotating tires from side to side. Check your owners manual, it should have tire rotation recommendations. You can also check the tire manufacturers web site for tire rotation info.
