tire rubbing noise while uturning

hi guys, i've tried to search for threads about this but couldn't find anything. i know there was a problem with the metal stopper but the noise i'm hearing is definitely not a metal-to-metal grinding noise. it sounds like when you make a turn too fast and the tires are rubbing against the ground. both me and my wife have heard the noise and it only happens during uturning. i don't think we were turning that fast especially the wife does anyone else have this problem?

what do they usually rub against? ahaha - i have the same issue with rubbing and sharp turns because my tires are 33's the best thing to do is go to a parking lot and do a u-turn and at the point where you hear the rubbing, stop your truck and look closer to what it is so you can firgure out the next course of action? do you have larger that stock tires?

I think what you are describing is tire squirm or scrubbing.
Major factor is the actual road surface condition. If it is damp or smooth then the tread blocks can let go easier. Other factors are tire wear (scrubbing will increase with tire wear) and lower inflation pressures.
I actually tested the inflation one last year. This was with my previous Doneflop tires with many miles of wear on them. There is a parking garage I use quite frequently that just after you enter there is a right turn. My window was still open and I heard the tires scrub in the turn (at slow speed) which I never noticed before. It was this same time of year when colder temps will decrease tire psi so I adjusted the inflation pressures up slightly. Next time into the garage I didn't hear the scrub. Nothing better to do so I decreased the pressure in the front drivers side tire slightly and went around again. The scrub noise was back.
Moral of the story, check your tire pressures.

If you have stock tires I doubt they are rubbing. Sometimes some dirt gets mixed with the grease on the turn stops and it can make some nasty noise. I hope you don't have your center diff locked!

If you're hearing a strange groaning/rubbing noise, especially on full lock and going over a bump or uneven ground that causes the wheel to articulate, it's most likely not tires but the steering stop rubbing. I get it and keep meaning to grease the stops... one day I'll get round to it.
