Tire size and NAV system

Has anyone with a NAV system gone up to the 265/70's? Was there any problem with the NAV system accuracy? I realize the NAV system uses GPS signals, but it also uses the speed sensor from the speedometer. Going up in tire size only changes the speedo by less than 4%, but over a long trip, this could be troublesome if it changes the accuracy or ETA calculations.....

Anyone had any experience?

Don't know. I use stock size tires. BUT...I do seem to remember seeing somewhere in the service/diagnostics menu a recalibration. it might help. search for the instructions on how to get in there. there's a newer link these days that gets you in the override/settings stuff, but there's also another one that gets you into the diagnostics side that was posted a loong time ago. anyone else have comments?

Are you referring to the setup menu or the 'secret' diagnostics menu. At one time I had the instructions on how to get to the diagnostics menu on the 2003, but don't have them anymore....anyone know how to access it?
