tire size, gear ratio ?

I have a 99 2wd 4 runner and plan on going as low as I possibly can. I have recently purchased 20" wheels wrapped in 245/40/20 rubber. The height of the wheel and tire setup isn't as tall as the factory height wheel & tire setup so now I am experiencing higher RPM and when I'm doing 70mph on the highway, my 4 runner thinks it's doing 90mph. I spoke with a friend of mine who is heavily into off-roading and told me that I could probably go with a taller diff gear to correct the problem I'm having. I'm thinking only lower gears would be available because of 4wd demand. Does anyone know what gears come factory on my 4 runner, or how I could find out ? I figured you 4x4ers would be more help than anyone else. Your help is appreciated...

or, easier, call the dealership with your VIN# and ask them. i am not sure about the 2wd. sorry i can't be more helpfull.
