I would say both impacts would be negligible. The speedo may read 1-2 mph slower than actual speed at 65mph, less than that below 65 and a little more above. If you are 100% city stop/go traffic you may see the tiniest of a drop, long highway miles may actually yield better mpg (albeit tiny at best)
I put a set of Michelin DEFENDER LTX M/S SL 265/70R-17 on my 2008 Sport last year, and haven't noticed any significant changes in MPG or the speedometer.
Love those tires, and the extra ~1" of height looks nice. (Slight rub on driver side fender liner with right reverse lock, but no biggy.)
I also did a 2"/1" lift with Eibach shocks last year, but I think you'll have enough room for those larger tires without it.

I think 265 70 17 is the right size for these and should have come stock.
my speedometer was actually reading fast at 265 65 17 - IE it would read 50, but id only be going 47. This has actually been the case with most of my toyotas (95 4r, 03 4r, 99 camry)
At 265 70 17,the speedo was accurate.
I didnt notice any changes with MPGs by the gauge
