Tire size question

Hello,
Found a great deal on toyo tires open country's with 90% tread on CL but the size is weird 295/75-16
Is here a reason 295's are better than 285's? Would I buy or hold out for 285's. I do have the Sonoran 1.2 but no body lift.

Thats a really wide tire! I know some modifications are required at least for the 285's. Maybe with spacers they will fit?

That is a fairly common size for the LC guys.
It will be a little taller and wider than a 285/75.

There is a pretty convenient tire calculator that has some comparison tools available on a forum about the world of tacomas under the mods & tutorials tab. It gives a pretty idea of the difference of 2 tire sizes.
