Tire Size

I have an 03 4Runner with the standard 265/65R17 Tires and need new tires. A friend of mine has just bought the FJ Cruiser and his comes with 265/70R17 tires. He is going to get a different tire for his FJ and asked if I wanted his tires for my 4runner. Will the different tire size work o.k. or will there be any issues with performance, installation, etc. Thanks for any help!

Most members here find that tire size to be fine. A lot of members here actually upsize to that size to be able to have more tire options and/or more ground clearance. Run a search, you'll find some threads and reviews about it. though, you'll find that your speedometer will be off slightly.. i think it reads 2mph fast, i.e. you'll be really going 60 if the speedo says 62. its a difference in i believe 3.4% in terms of tire size.
