Tire size

I'm sure this has been covered before, but with the number of posts on this site, looking through to find one that benefits my wonders will take forever. Here's my question. I ordered a rough country 3" lift and new coils for the back as well. I picked up 2 nearly new Mastercraft Courser MXT 305/70/R16's for $20. Will these fit in my 1999 Sr5 with the lift without cutting or hammering? If cutting or hammering is required, how much will I have to do? Also, do any of you have pictures with this tire size on your 3rd gen? I know it's more than likely been answered before, but I'm asking again. I apologize in advance, but I need an answer before I go ahead and order the other two tires in this size. If they won't fit, I'll go with 33x10.5

With a 3" lift they should fit.. But your trouble with those tires won't be the height, they'll be with width. That tire roughly measures to a 33x12. Compared to the common 285x75 which is roughly a 33x11.2ish. Our trucks don't like wide tires as they hit the upper control arm, not allowing the tire to clear. As well as hitting the frame while at full turn. Also will depend on your wheels as backspacing will determine how far the wheel is pushed out. Keep in mind since a 305 is wide it will probably look like a balloon on a wheel that's under 8.5" wide. Factory 16's are like 7" wide.

My opinion, sale them for a profit and get your some 285x75's
