Whats Up! I just installed a cornfed 3/2 lift and put in fj shocks. I am in the market for some new tires. Not sure what size to go with. I dont want to deal with the rubbing but want to go big. I am def. considering bfg A/T's. Havnt heard a bad thing about them. I'd appreciate any info.

Are you going to be off roading? If so, how often and what type of terrain? Will they see much rain/snow? Does tire noise bother you? Etc...
These are all very important when deciding what type of tires to get. I love my 255/75/17 BFG MT, but they may be slightly too aggressive for many.

The wife has been happy w/ the Toyo open country AT's I put on her 4runner. 265/70/17 Just ordered the Toytec 3" lift/level kit today.

X2 on the REVO's. Ive never run them myself but I've got friends that swear by them. Not tooo aggressive but can definitely hold their own on the ocassional trek off the beaten path. Great tire on the road.
On the other hand...
I ran BFG A/Ts on my heep (jeep) since I bought the thing and loved them to death. They took me through quite a bit. Likely more of a tire then you will need if you plan on running it primarily on the road though. You would probably be happier with the Bridgestones.

You would need wheel spacers IOT clear the UCAs if you went with 285 (and some trimming).
I've heard nothing but good things about the Goodyear Wrangler Duratrac. Agressive looking AT, mountain snowflake rated, very quiet on the road and getting good reviews off road. I'll be going with these in a 285 when the time comes!

Say no to Revo
Stay away from the Bridgestone Revos! I was the biggest supporter of Revos until the summer before last (1 yr 3 mos ago) when I went to the Revo with UNI-T AQII. The tread life has been very disappointing, only 25,00 miles are on them and they only probably have another 6,000 miles left in them. They have been rotated regularly and I don't drive in a manner to yield these results. I would think this was an isolated incident but a friend had the same results. The last set of Revos I bought ran for over 50,000 miles. My next set of tires will be 265/70/17 BFG A/Ts.

I have not driven on either the BFG AT KO or the Revos, but have been doing a lot of reading on the two trying to decide which way to go when my current tires die. Haven't read much on the Revo 2's.
Here is my current assessment of the two:
Revos (original)
- available in P-rated 265/65R17 and 265/70R17
- not availble in LT tire (or maybe only an E-rated one)
- reviewed as being better than BFG in rain and snow
- not "sever weather" rated (mountain snowflake)
-quieter, better riding
- maintains good traction/ride and quitness throughout tread life
BFG
- not available in 265/65R17 (so tire upsize required)
- only available as LT tire
- supposdly has the "severe weather rating" (mountain snowflake, although the mountain snowflake doesn't appear on tire) - although doesn't seem as good in snow as Revo?
- more rugged than Revo
- sucks in the rain
- more aggressive looking than Revo (my opinon)
- loses handling/traction characterisitcs and get louder as the tire wears
Those of you with more experience or different info feel free to comment.
