Tire Swingout

I just thought I would throw up some pics of the tire swingout my sons are building on a Trailgear rear bumper.

FYI, I have a 96 4runner, my middle son has this 86 4runner, and my youngest son (the welder in the family) has an 07 4runner.

sorry they are sideways, I don't know how to fix that. They aren't done yet.

So my youngest son got everything buttoned up on his brothers tire swingout. This was his first "big" fab project and I think he did an awesome job. Now it's pulled off ready to be painted.

The bottom hinge is a trailer spindle. My son says if he were to build it differently he would have made his brother spend more money and buy a real swingout hinge with the bearings and everything, but his brother was trying to be cheap. But his big brother (the customer) is happy with it.

Sorry, when I reviewed the pics they were positioned correctly, I don't know why they turn sideways. I'm not that computer savvy to fix.

Yeah, the trailer spindle is frequently used for that.
There's a backup plate for the top mount above the taillight?

yes there is a plate behind there.

When you get your pictures, open the file, and right click it. It should give you the option to rotate them.
