Tire Up-Size Question

On the LTD's it calls for a 265-60-18. Does anybody know what the largest size tire you can install without issues of rubbing, etc?

My issue is I need new tires but I am also going to install the Icon Stage 1 kit. But I need tires now. I don't want to be in the position of wanting bigger tires once I install the Icon. That make any sense or am I looking at this all wrong?

A friend of mine has 265/65/18 on her 4th gen without any issues. I would think you could also do 275/65/18 (32") or 265/70/18 but that would be the biggest.

This helps, thanks. Does this also mean if I went with the Icon lift, which I will most likely keep it at 1 1/2 lift that the 275/65/18 is the biggest I would or can go with?

Possibly. Are you keeping the stock wheels? You be able to go a little bigger but at some point you will have to start trimming and do a body mount chop. If you change the wheels that changes everything and the only way to know for sure is to actually test on your 4runner.

I don't have any plans to change the wheels. Of course I guess that's always subject to change....

Moved the fender liners and got no rubbing when wheeling last weekend.

One great think about 255 is mpg's, my tires are only 4lbs more per tire so after doing some math for running a bigger tire I get about the same mpg's
