Tire/Wheel questions

I'm trying to decide whether to add 265/70/16 BFG A/T's or go ahead and change to a 17" rim with BFG's. Either way, how big of a tire can I get without scrubbing or cutting?

I'm really not planning on doing much off-roading. Hopefully I'm going to get an early model Bronco for the fun stuuf.

PLEASE, tell us where you end up finding a 16" wheels that fits the 4th gen 4runner. I haven't found anything online that fit's a 4th gen. I want t o get a set of cheap winter wheels and put some good winter rubber on them. I don't want the hassle of swapping tires twice a year.

The 4th-gen SR5's have 16" wheels as standard equipment. I remember seeing one of our overseas members (I think Germany) with a Limited and the 16" wheels. I had the 16" wheels but put on the 17's from the Limited. If you're interested in them, check out my post in the Classifieds section.

Post on this board that you want some and actually do the same on Yotatech. Lots of people get rid of the stock 16" and 17" wheels that come with the 4RUnner.

Also some guys go with American Racing AR23's when they get 16" wheels for off roading, not sure how much $$$$.

I would sell my 16"s with the Duelers (only about 20k miles) that came with it if I find 17" wheels to buy.
