Hi guys. I am thinking of getting new tires on my 4runner. It is a 2016 trail edition. I wanted to know which of these two sizes would be best for my 4runner. I am in between 295/70r17 and 285/70r17. I am more inclined to go with the bigger option (the 295s) and i am keeping my stock rims. Has any of you put this size tires on yours? any issues after installing them? any adjustments needed? Thanks for the help

Lifted? if so, whatchu got?
Stock links in the rear?
Body Mount Chop?
Have you trimmed any in the front?
Are you afraid to trim?

you can use a 285/70/17 on a stock suspension only if you push your front fender liner forward and trim the excess bumper plastic. You will rub in reverses at full lock and don't take it off road.
went this route myself for a few months while i saved up for my lifted suspension.
Ok, to answer a few of the questions.
No i have lift it yet, but i will be putting a 2 to 3 " lift on it. No i am not afraid to trim any parts if i need to. i don't do much wheeling so the lift kit i'll be putting on will be a 3" Lift W/ Bilstein 5100 Front Coilovers. Nothing too crazy, just enough to have a good time.
