Tires for my '06 Limited.....help!

Yes, I've searched a bunch. Yes, this is a somewhat tired topic :ybrick: I'm sorry! But bout to drop a grand or so on tires, and just want some final opinions.

The truck: 2006 T4R Limited. 18 inch stock wheels. Dealer put on some pretty average Falken tires when I bought the truck 2 years ago.

The lift: Daystar 2.5/1.5.

I'm leaning towards the BFG AT KO in 265/65/18. Should I go with spacers as well? Or should I go even bigger? 285/65/18? Or will it start to look like a camper?

My goals: aggressive look, decent highway ride, no rubbing, and damn good in snow and light off-road use.

Thanks for your help. Threads on 18 inch tire selection have been helpful, but few in number.

I just installed 275/65/18 Goodyear duratracs on my 06 limited with a 3/2 Toytec lift and 1.25 spidertrax spacers. It looks SO much more aggresive than before. I did have to push my fender liners forward a couple inches and do some very minor trimming (both took about an hour) I was averaging 18-19 mixed driving and it dropped to 17-18 but it's worth it ill post a couple pics when i can I definitely think you could fit 275/65/18 with your 2.5/1.5 lift.

a few days ago i just put the BFG's on my '06 limited. 265/65-18. i was torn between the michelin LTX AS2 or the BFG's. here is my experience.

i have lost some fuel economy on the BFGs, and a little louder on the highway(did 200 miles thanksgiving day) the look of them on the 4R is awesome. if you go to a 285 and you do real world driving you will see even more drop of your mileage and it will have more of a contact patch in the snow which will be worse for traction. i plan on doing spacers but i will have to move the liner forward due to the tread design of the BFG. the tire guy stated that the michelin would be a quieter, will have better fuel ecomomy, ride smoother and be better on ice and packed down snow. the BFG will be better in deep snow and good in rain,dry and is a very durable tire.

each has its pros and cons. you will have to figure what is best for you.

BTW Michelin owns BFG.

I have BFG TA KO 265/65/18 and DS 2.5/1.5 on my 06 ltd. I also saw a slight decrease in MPG from the stock BFG longtrails, but I didn't notice any difference in noise. I haven't had any experience with them in the snow yet, but I'm looking forward to it. I think they look great and was inspired by user HOJEEPSTER's rig. Here's a vid that shows off the tires a bit.

People have mentioned it would look better with spacers, but it doesn't bother me.

Thanks for all the opinions, guys. I'm still leaning towards the 265/65 BFGs. I just love the look of them. I'll post some pics if I get them on.
