Tires for STOCK 4x4 Limited v8....

I do some light offroading, and plan on keeping stock... I feel like most tire threads are for modded trucks....

I love the look of the BFGOODRICH ALL-TERRAIN T/A KO2's... Am I going to regret this decision staying stock, and stock OEM tire size... Or is there a much better alternative?

Irma took its toll on one of my tires lol.

Those are great tires, have used them on multiple vehicles and was always very happy. In stock form your truck is way more capable then you can imagine. So do not believe you will regret staying with OEM sizing. If you are concerned about durability you could alway move to the LT version.

I stayed stock size on my 4R and have no problems. I was going to go KO2's its a great tire but for the price I went Falken AT3W Wildpeak and really like them. You will be fine staying stock and getting better tires.

Perhaps consider the slight up-sizing to 265/70 and you can still retain the stock characteristics without needing a lift to have the slightly higher stance...

we went with the 265/70 series tires also went with the Hankcook DynaPro ATM RF10, i have had these tires on 5 different vehicles over the years and have never had a problem. they are in my opinion the best AT tire you can get for your every day / snow / little bit of trail use. just my 2 cents.

Cooper AT3 seem popular and cheaper than the KO2s. I have the KO2s. They are incredible. Surprisingly quite too.

I have Nitto Terra Grappler G2s and love them. Highly recommend. They have great on road characteristics and perform well in mud and sand off road.

I stayed stock size on my 4R and have no problems. I was going to go KO2's its a great tire but for the price I went Falken AT3W Wildpeak and really like them. You will be fine staying stock and getting better tires.

This is exactly where I am right now. With my daystar I'm gonna run a 255/70r18 but I really want KO2's but with 5 tires I have to purchase I'm not spending $240 per tire... I'll spend $135 on the AT3Ws

Im thinking of going 265/70 when I replace my tires. Mainly bacause there are more options on tire rack for that size over stock.

Consider the LT265/60R18/E 119/116S KO2's, would be a fine decision on a stock ride (plenty of other high-quality options out there as well in that size).

Will you regret staying stock? Can't really answer that but if you have the mod bug then yes, if you push it off-road then yes, you know the drill...

Bumping-up to a 70 series on the stock 18" wheel and stock suspension...I wouldn't. 265/65-18 is a ~1" diameter increase, 70's takes you up 2" (go measure).

Stock size A/T tire (or 1 up) is still an improvement over a highway tire if you do any off-roading

Most of the A/T tires are solid options and are geared towards a mix of hwy and off-road use. I have the Falken Wildpeak AT3W on my rig and honestly it seems like the Wildpeaks seem like the most bang for your buck. I did run them in 265/70/17 (265/65/18) and they impressed me so much I upgraded them to 285/70 after 5k miles

KO2, Coopers, General Grabbers, Wranglers, Wildpeaks are all solid tires for your use

I stayed stock on my '04 V8 Limited. Running the Discount Tire version of the Hankook Dynapro's. They have been great on highway and I have had no complaints offroad.
