what size tires are you guys running with a 3 inch lift?

285/75R16 almost a 33x10.5.

A little banging and cutting may be necessary. I like mine but I'm going up to 35x12.5R15 here in a bit

285/75 on 16" rim had to trim and bang pinch welds back though until I installed 1" body lift

I currently have 265/75R16 Goodyear Wrangler SilentArmors and the tire look alittle small. As soon as I can afford new tires I'm going to 285/75R16's

285's...you'll be happy when you don't look at your truck 3 months after putting 265's on and say sh!t, I shoulda got 33's!

Same here. Mines only a 2WD and its my daily driver so 265's would be more realistic, but then again 285's will look wayyy better, especially since i plan to lift it 2"-3"; decisions decisions:ybrick:

That's why I'm looking at 265's over 285's. I've put 4,600 miles on it in two months. I'd hate to take a big hit in the mpg department for looks.

That being said... 285's are still tempting...

I went from 235/70r15's to 285/75r16's with stock set up I was getting 18.8 - 19.2 mpg. After two tanks with lift and bigger tires I am getting 17.4 mpg. Tire Dimensions Made Simple - Discount Tire I have not re-geared either. Any tire over 33's you probably have to re-gear. If you live in the hills or mountains you would probably have to re-gear with 33" tires and larger. You would be downshifting constantly.

If yu only go up 2", DO NOT GO 285's, you'll have some rubbing issues. That said, if you're going to lift it, might as well do it right the first time and go up 3".

Thanks for the advice. I read a couple of guys threads and the 265's don't look bad actually. Yea I think I will end up lifting it 3"; I'd probably regret it if I just went with 2". and if i ever decide to go 285s, there'd be no problem. thanks man

I'm gonna run 265/75/16 GY Duratracs on mine with a 3'' lift. Tire shop is finally gonna have my tires in stock next week..can't wait!!

im running 315x75R17's with 3 inches of lift. some triming to the front bumper and a lot of hammering in the fenderwell but totally worth it. Also know that I have no flares (removed them) but it is all worth it to have 35's.:trophy:
