Tires (no off-road)

I have the Michelin LX. I have around 50000 miles on them. Here are the advantages:
1.) seem to be long wearing.
2.) Relatively quiet - about the same as stock.
3.) Handle well - don't seem to follow rain grooves and stay planted on turns well - traction limits are pretty predictable (for a tall tire).
4.) Braking performance - good (perception - I have no A vs. B test)
5.) Wet performance - very good
6.) Snow performance - awesome (I live in northern Utah, and as an example, drove up a small, steep canyon road (Lamb's Canyon) with around 15 inches of fresh snow on it - and no other tracks - no problem. I snowboard a fair bit, and I have never had a time where I have felt like I have lacked traction while heading up to the resorts. It is supposed to snow 1-2' tonight - and I'll be heading up the canyon tomorrow as soon as the are done with avalanche control. I cannot overstate the improvement in snow performance over the stock tires).
7.) Wheeling performance - no idea, the only off road I do is fire road stuff, which works fine
8.) Mileage - no change over stock (which seemed good considering they are more aggressive tread than stock).
Disadvantages:
1.) Cost. I bought them at Costco (they have a coupon every other month) but they were still pretty pricey.
2.) Looks - they look ok, but not real aggressive or anything.
That is it for the disadvantages.

Tires are all about compromise. You just need to decide what your priorities are. I've had M/T's, A/T's, and H/T tires on trucks and SUV's.
For the last five years or so, my 4Runner is only driven on Snow days, (which we get a lot of) or if I decide to do some four-wheeling. I currently have the Toyo Open Country H/T tires, and with 4wd, they do great in any snow conditions I've encountered. We've had three storms this season, that put down nearly three feet of snow each. Lots of smaller snow storms in-between too.
My Sister has the Michelin LTX M/S2 tires on her 4wd 4Runner, and driving both in the same snow conditions (Approx. 12" of snow on a steep un-plowed road) I thought the LTX's had a slight advantage in grip over the Toyo H/T's.
I still made it fine with the Toyo's, but since you are 2wd, I thought the slight advantage of the Michelin's in snow, would be better for you.
According to Michelin, the LTX M/S2 has more siping than the original LTX M/S, so it would have better grip than the original in snow. The tire construction has also been improved according to Michelin.
I can't comment on Yokohama truck tires, as I haven't owned any. I have owned Yokohama high-performance car tires, and they were okay for the price, but there were better performing options IMO. That experience with their car tires, is why I haven't ever seriously considered them for truck tires.

I voted "Other".
For what your looking for, many do not use them but their great tires!
Their called "Gorilla Silverback" tires.

Honestly, Toyo Open Countries are going to be my next tire. They have All Terrains and are really nice tires. Take a look one day.
