Whats up fellas,

2 Questions.....

In rearching Tirerack.com and their rims selection, I noticed they had links for "Important Notes" after you clicked on a particular rim and discussed the impact the new rims would have on the truck's tire sensors? Even mentioned you might have to buy new sensors?

Can anyone explain the problems you encounter when swappin out the stock rims or tires when it comes to tire sensors?

2. Any issue with reversing a tire so that the white raised letters would sit on the inside of the vehicle instead of visible on the outside? Ex. like the BFG AT tires that have been modded here already? harper7?

Thanks a bunch guys :moon:

Some tire sensors are not compatible with aftermarket rim. It has to do with the angle and the way the sensor seats inside the wheel and to the outlet hole.

Tires can be mounted letters in or out provided they are non-directional tires. BFG AT's can be mounted either way.

TRD look - rims and tires

Will black TRD 17 inch rims rims fit on nitto terra grappler g2s 265/70r17? Or what size tires would I need?

Also if I put these rim on those tires can I just install them on my 2016 4Runner SRS as is? Or would I need a lift?

I am trying to recreate the TRD look. Thanks!!

I am running Micky Thompson ATZ P3's 265/70/17 on stock 17" rims. I also have 1.25" Spider track Spacers though. What year is your truck?

Look in the sticky thread on modifications. Big tire thread that has all the info in tire sizes. To answer your question 265 shouldn't rub.

Tons of t4r non PRO that have recreated the look of a TrD pro successfully.

As stated above so concisely yes, that is the setup that comes directly from the factory on the TRD Pro. The Pro is for the most part exactly the same as your SR5 except for the upgraded suspension, a few off road gizmos also found on the Trail Edition and cosmetic details.

Oh, and they meant that you should use the search bar and check on this link first!

Hope this info helps...and for future reference Stifler usually leaves you alone if you use the search.:behindsofa:
