It is sport. Well that's what the title says lol. I did some investigation. N found out that in 2007 they fitted them toyotas with 2 diff sizes 16. N 17.sounds like you didnt get a sport
Thanks for the info. No I don't want dedicated winter tires. I wanted to put geenral grabbers A/T 2. But I thinnk they will rub I won't do a lift and I will put 17 inch wheels . Yeah the winter her in the windy city is unpredictable. I wanted to wait for the wheels until summer but I need tires badly so. It makes no sense to buy tires (16) now and upgrade wheels later. So I need both now.I find the tire survey info on tirerack.com to be quite useful. Did you want dedicated winter tires? I just left the Chicago burbs and also lived in PA many winters with my T4Rs. I'd recommend a good AT tire if you don't want winter tires. The ratings include snow traction. IMO, a great choice both performance and cost wise are the Firestone Destination AT's. I've also ran Michelin LTX's and Bridgestone REVOs.
Knowing what the snowfall can be like in that area, I'd also recommend buying a set of chains for emergencys. I can't count the # of times I was miles from home and over 1 foot of snow piled up in no time. And then there are the drifts...
Wow this site helps a lot. For some reason they advertised it as SR5 4x4 sport wtf. Yuo can tell I'm a rookie on toyotas lol. Now I saw some wheels on ebay 17 x7.0. From a 2010 4runner can this fit my SR5 ? What's the differnce of 17 x 7.5 ? Thank you guysi thought sports only came with 17s since 16s wont fit on the larger front brakes. http://www.toyota-4runner.org/4th-g...im-levels-have-bigger-brakes-than-others.html cant find anything that says 07 is different. this an 07 review, it states that its a carry over from 06, it only lists the 2wd not 4wd sport but they both use the larger front rotors. not trying to be wise but do u have the hood scoop, smoked chrome grille & headlights, xreas, etc.? i have seen dealers sometimes advertise as sport (SE), & when i went to check them out, they were sr5s. either way, heres 265/70/17 grabbers , http://www.toyota-4runner.org/perfo...29961-general-grabber-at2-toyota-4runner.html
