Tires wearing on insides

I have some Yoko Geolanders that are wearing on the insides on the front. It drives straight and no problems so I'm wondering if it is indeed the alignment. It's a 98 w/ 79K miles so I'm confused as to what this may be.....any ideas??

Yep,it could be alignment specifically with the camber adjustment and once you take care of that you should rotate the tires every 4000 miles since I've heard and read that 3rd gens can be prone to having issues with keeping the front aligned.

Wear on the insides and on main tread path is consistant too with too much air pressure. Check that out. Just my $.02.

when the alignment is done they check the camber as well correct? Just checking to see if all this thing needs is an alignment.

From what I remember it was wearing on the old tires and I got an alignment....now seems it's doing the same exact thing.

for all/most cars, the front is negative camber, and the back is positive camber. or maybe it's the other way around but this is built this way so your turns could be more precised. SO! when the front tires wearing out in the outside, it will be switched from front to the back wheels. then the back tires will go to the from BUT the 'right rear' tires will go to the 'left front' and the 'left rear' will go to the 'right front'. this is how they rotate the tires.

i got my tires from Hibdon Tires Plus(not sure if you guys have those place in your area) but if you have their tires, they will rotate and balance for free, lifetime guarantee.

but i guess most of you guys know how to rotate, some don't but hey, just letting you know =)

Not an expert but I have an opinion. If tires wear unevenly, it's either tire pressure or alignment, and sometimes both.

In your situation, I would say alignment. If you inners and outers were worn evenly but the middle of the tire patch is fine, that would be underinflated. If the inside patch is worn but the outers are OK and even, tires would have been overinflated. Uneven wear anywhere normally is alignment.

It also could be the suspension. With 79K miles it's possible the OEM suspension has lost some of its lift - so you'd still drive straight but be sagging and wear the inside of the tire.
