I have a 2003 toyota 4 runner limited lift kit 1/2" right now i have Nitto Trail Grappler M/T 285/70R/17 looking into purchasing BF Goodrich KO2 All terrain or another Nitto Terra Grappler which one are the best for on/off road.

It's hard to find a nicely balanced on and off road tire. Many peiple run the Ko2s and Nittos but I know they aren't the quietest or smoothest on road . I ended up going crazy and getting tires called Monsta Terrain Gripper from Australia. They are the best on road tire I've ever had. Very little road noise, excellent traction on dry and rainy surfaces. I have not done a ton of off roading with them but the tread and sidewall are great so shouldn't have any issues.

The shop I got them installed said Nitto has a tire with similar tread pattern but I'm not sure what the name was.

Anyway good luck on your tire adventures, I just wanted something unique unlike the BF and Nittos everyone runs and I love them.

I just put 315/70/17 BFG AT on and the tire noise is 0 compared to the Nitto's I just took off. I have been running BFG's on all my rigs since 1983 and never had a problem or a flat.
