I'm starting my build thread, Im not to good at building threads yet so bare with me! but here it goes, I bought my runner in Oct. 2010 out in Texas and drove her back to Cali, ran like a beauty,it is a 2002 and had 99,000 miles on it, 4wd, center diff lock, 35% tint, and pretty much nothing else done besides that, didnt like the color at first but love it now, here is a picture of what it looked like stock, not my 4 runner but pretty much the exact same

I had already bought the sequoia rims and 265/75/17's before i bought her and also a 1.5in spacer, as soon as i got home i had the new tires and rims mounted, the next day i attempted to put on the spacers, upon decompressing the coil compressors one of them popped off on one side and jammed the shock and pinched the seal so all the oil came out of it.... so this resulted in some King Coilovers! went out that day and picked them up and installed them that same day, sat about 1.5" higher in the front which is what i wanted!

I had my system from my other car swapped into her, Alpine deck i-pod only, full kicker components door speakers plus 2-12" kickers and all kicker amps, sounds pretty good :guitar3:

a couple days later threw on my dads yakima ski racks and got ready to move up to utah for the winter to work!

the nittos didnt do good in the in the snow IMO so i went online and found some brand new 295/70/17's Toyo MT's went and had them mounted and loved them but they rubbed even more then the used Nittos so i had to get the front lifted about another 1.5" to help eliminate the rubbing, took most of it away in the front, the fist pic is before i had it lifted higher, all the other pics are with it raised, the last pics is when i meet up with Kirk later in the day after i got the front end lifted

went up to idaho and did a little Mudding, the tires did great didnt get stuck! Those Toyos make it look so much Bigger! IMO, ha, did a little photo shop in the 2nd pics, thought it looked pretty good, 3rd pic showing how much it rubs in the rear when its not even flexed that much, 4th pic did some more photo editing to see what it would like with no emblems in the rear besides the Toyota one, I really like it, I think if i black out that toyota emblem and the License plate area that it would look good... any thought?

just some pics around the house of my runner, also blew a CV boot about 2 weeks after having the front lifted, i think its due to the high angle plus the boot being 9 years old, i think the combo ripped it, about a week after the other blew as well so i have 2 new axles/boots on the front now with lifetime warranties on them, i know they arent as good as the stock toyota ones but i dont wheel much so they should be fine for me and if they break oh well ill just exchange them.

in the next month ill have my ODL bumper and 1.5"BL on that i have already purchased, as soon as i get those on ill post up more pics!

The Runner looks awesome! Clean and tasteful IMO.

If you decide to pull the emblems from your rear hatch, I'd love to get the SR5 and 4wd ones if you're willing to part with them. It's always bothered me that I'm missing mine!! Ha.

Looks very nice!!!

The black Tundra wheels add character to your truck. I like the gold paint too...I've only seen two of them in my area.

thats for the compliments! im not to sure which model yakima's they are, they are kinda old maybe 4-5 years, but ya they fit on the factory roof rack, they just bolt around the 2 cross bars, its nice cuz they are interchangeable between my dads sequoia and the runner.

just ordered my rear Aussie Locker today! they have great customer service and Bill is great to work with, I also ordered my Clear Corners for the front yesterday, and have my Bumber and BL waiting to install, hopefully have everything done week after next!
