to grille or not to grille

Just came across this old photo today of when i put on my 1.5" body lift and realized i kind of liked it without the grille. i like the grille guard IMO.... but if you dont like it, i will gladly take it off your hands!!!
 
i know im gonna get flamed for this...

normally id say keep it, i like the looks with the brush guards. but the fact that its not lining up with your BL i have to go with take it off it looks like its falling off or not for that truck at first look


and as far as them being a damage multiplier what ever- mine has saved my truck several times from getting damage, sure my bumper has some marks on it from the bumper, but unless you are up close and looking for them you will never see them. and they where only from when i was hit by another car and when i pushed a full sized truck out of an intersection off to the side of the road. id rather have the place to put lights, and i like the looks of them. so each to their own.
 
If it were me, I would just take off the headlight hoops and keep the uprights of the grille guard. I really like that look, but only on the 96-98s. the 99+ fatlip messes with the look of the grille guard IMO.

You have no idea what you're talking about. Those things don't even protect you from brush, let alone anything else they may claim to guard. And… Why the hell should we take your advice? You're just a dumb kid.

and here it is. Still undecided but the look will do for now. Needs more winch.
