I finally Get to put my engine in i have been waiting months to do. ( way to much side work to finish my own projects).I will post more pics to the thread I figure the next few days will be a lot of posting. I am pulling the engine by myself so no video's. But i will try to take lots images of the resealed motor and progress!

It's so hot!

So today went slower than I wanted to. I only was able to install oil pump rear Main oil seal and clean up the oil pan. I will be bolting then heads on early in the morning before the heat of the day sets in. Tomorrow is calling for 95 I wanna cry. Why did I choose the 2 warmest days to do this.

Don't tight the tensioner bolts, otherwise you won't be able to pull the pin out. I learned it the hard way. Had to remove the AC compressor and bracket once again to loosen the sensioner bolt to pull that pin!

I have never had an issue with pulling the pin once torqued to spec. That is kinda how they are supposed to be set up. 13 ft-lbs with the dust boot set in the correct non pinched groove( ask me how i know :guitar2 the pin does move like it should I had to go check once torqued down.

I am so lucky I work on cars for a profession! If not I would be lost since I took this engine apart months ago and bolts are everywhere! New valve cover gasket with Spark plug seals and bolt washers.:biggrin2:

I wanted to say thanks to all the forum guys and for the likes and comment's. Also i found that Lisle makes a socket that allows you to break the crank bolt loose with a regular air impact or battery operated 1/2. I used my dewalt 2 times to remove the pulley bolt no problems either time. Lisle 77080 19 mm Harmonic Balancer Socket. It does work and for 23 dollars on amazon is worth it. :mmph:

I subscribed to this one. An engine swap may be in the future for me. Not on my current rig though, I hope to build it up soon!

Props for doing this. I'm so intimidated by an engine swap it's not even funny...

Yeah a swap with 4WD was a chore to do in my gravel driveway 4 sheets of plywood that the 4runner hauled home right before I yanked the engine Monday morning. To top it all off She run's really good and quiet.

Day 2 and she is running good. Only problem is that coolant on the belts have caused squealing first thing in the morning. Anyone wishing to tackle this job one word of caution. Rust penetrate is your friend and use it a lot. Saved me a few headaches. Mainly the manifold to crossover tube and then to down pipe.
