too much for an e-locker?

Saw this on ebay and was wondering what others paid for their E-lockers? This one seems way over priced, since I've seen a few at the junk yard for 500 or so. What else would I have to picked up besides axle (harness, switch)?
I have a 2wd with 4.10 gears and thought it would be nice to have an E-locker.

Over priced. I got my front and rear diff for about $900 and was suppose to get $200 back when I brought back my front. But never did.

You need the button, wiring harness, and ecu. There is someone in the forums selling a complete set.

I changed out my rear axle in two days. But I had no clue what I was doing.

Make sure it's a 4.10 every hard I called a who lot and they thought it was 4.10 until they opened it up.

That is for a tacoma. You see the leaf spring perches..If you can fab. you can make it fit a runner.A couple years back I paid $980 from a dealer in Houston brand new.

I paid $800 for a whole 98 Limited 4Runner than was wrecked. So I got a full E-locker axle, both diffs, some body parts, a running 3.4L v6, tranny, transfer case, interior parts, and rims. That price seems a little high to me!

2wd E-locker

Thanks for the input and it's much appreciated.
I kinda of figured he was asking to much and he did post that he had one for a 4runner which I'm sure he's asked the same amount for that one.
I've seen one local for 500 or so with 4.10 gears.
ECU is needed for locker upgrade? I figured I would need the harness and switch but didn't factor in a ECU. Would axle be a direct swap for my current rear wheel drive 4runner?

4Runners.org - 3rd Gen 4Runner E-locker Retrofit
Diff. Lock ECU #89533-35070
Diff. Wiring Harness #82127-35100
Differential Switch (stock Toyota switch is #84725-35010)

As long as its from a 1996-2001 4runner it will be a direct swap. I swapped in a 2001 rear into my 2000 fine.

Have fun!

For less than that you can have an ARB. You could also keep up the search for a yota diff and get a switch and harness from The 12Volt Guy I got an e-locked diff for $123 from a junk yard. You just have to stay on the ball to find one.

A few quick questions
Diff Lock ECU location? Is this located in Passenger side kick panel? Will this change anything installing in a 2wd 4runner?
Diff wiring harness? Location? Trace back from where? Found a 4runner with elocker but rearend was already pulled. Thinking of heading back to check if ECU and harness where left behind.
Already have Diff lock switch:pimp:

Thanks for any help
