Too much lift?

Though Ive looked on this forum for the past couple months, I finally decided to join. Ive got a 1997 limited 4runner and was wondering if someone could help me with a problem that might be lift related.

A couple months back I put OME 881 coils and Procomp ES6000 Shocks upfront with rear OME 890 coils in the back. I didnt find that I got all 3inchs of lift up front so I decided to get a 3/4in top plate spacer up front. I love the way it looks, feels, and drivers both on and offroad; However, a couple months later my passenger side lower ball joint actually fell out of the car; I think because of a lack of pressure on it due to the bigger lift. If any body could verify this it would be very helpful, otherwise I have to remove my lift.

I would say that it isn't related to your lift. Ball joints do take on more stress with a lift, but I would say that your balljoint just went bad and needed replaced. Typically it is the cv axles that take a beating. Replace all the balljoints with good oem balljoints and I would say your good to go. No need to pull your lift

If it's any consolation, I have that same set up for my fronts minus the Procomp shocks and haven't had any issues regarding the ball joints..your lift is good and as mentioned, it could be the ball joint just waiting to go.
