Hey guys I am kind of at my Whit's end with Toyota in Canada. And hoping someone here might be able to help.You see I am 6'6" tall and I cannot fit in a 4runner with a sunroof and the powers that be here in Canada in all their infinite wisdom only import an sell 4runners with sunroofs and unfortunately the headliner in a 4runner with a sunroof is just too low for me. Anyway I presently drive an 08 4runner sport that I love, it is just such a great truck!!!! and it does not have a sunroof because I special ordered it through a dealer in Florida without one.
I have tried for the past three years to get Toyota Canada to order me a 4runner without a sunroof but they simply shut me down everytime and offer me a Tacoma which I don't want.
The craziest thing about all this is I know that I can buy one two hours away down in the USA without a sunroof but at a significant premium as our currency is basically the equivalent to Venezuela's.
So I was hoping someone out there would have some advice or a contact email with japan so I can see if they can help me out.
As I said I have been trying and hoping for 3-4 years that Toyota Canada would either start importing the 4runner without the sunroof or offer to special order one for me (as I did with my current truck). I am in no rush but I have no interest in an Asscent (my wife's second choice) and will take any trim (although prefer the PRO).
Any help/advice would be greatly appreciated. Also buying in the states just doesn't make financial sense ATM so I would have to purchase the truck in Canada.
