top grill light bar mounting ideas?

I have been reading threads for hours and hours and have seen little bits of information, but nothing that completely answers it. There are lots of great threads and posts on mounting a light bar in the lower grill on the later 5th gens (and even hardware you can purchase now), but not a lot on how folks mounted in the upper grill.

I have a TRD pro grill and a 20 inch lightforce single row.

Any way to mount this securely without drilling?

Any tips, tricks, previous experience, and pictures would be great.

21 inch single row light bar w slim mounts will fit without drilling. the 20 inch should fit too..


my holes line up with the pop up tabs on the OEM bumper support, so i just screwed it down in those holes. May have to buy washers.

SDHQ makes a 20” mount kit that pretty much looks like a pair of angle brackets. So it would seem like a pretty simple task

I was able to reuse the mounts that came with the light bar, nothing special
