215k miles on my 96.
Still running 5w-20 synthetic and using no oil.
Gas milage right at 20mpg highway.

My old '96 is right at 215K as well. My brother inherited it, and he's not treated it as gently as I did, but it's still holding up well. Could use a good exterior detailing, though!
 
I bought my truck less then 2 years ago used, it had 54K on it, i used to commute a lot of miles. Its at 101K and still drive like the day i got her. Mobil1 synthetic oil and im still happy with it.
 
My 98 has 96,000 miles and it also still runs like the day I got it. Of course that was only 3,000 miles ago so I would certainly hope so.

Most I have seen? There was a 97 SR5 for sale at the 4Wheel Jamboree in Lima and it had 324,000. Still ran just fine!
 
Thats what I thought, I wouldn't be surprised to see it in the 300xxx easy as long as you maintain it. These cars are build like tanks, they don't make them like this any more. I wouldn't trade my 3rd gen for a brand new 4th, no way.

I just hit 110k on my 2001 SR5. I use Castrol synthetic blend and a bottle of Rislone since day one. No leaks, no smoke and oil burning. Runs just like it did when I drove it off the lot. My goal is to reach 200k! I can't wait.

No leaks, no probs with drivetrain, and the engine bay is sparkling. I just went off road this weekend and I must say I had an awesome time 4wheelin and I was really impressed with how capable it is completely stock.
 
1997 SR5 V6 4WD - 209,000, no issues outside power antennae that kept on falling out. It looked almost new, spotless engine, no leaks, no burning oil, transmission shifted perfectly, 4WD worked perfectly - bought it with 42000 miles, I put the rest on. I used Mobil1 5W30 the entire time. The problem was when an unlicensed, uninsured driver hit me in 05 and totaled the car. My insurance company actually paid 9500 on an 8 year old car with 209000 miles... I think that the 3rd gen was the best built of all - unbelievably reliable. Now have a 04 SE V8 4WD with 77000 - I bought it last year with 31,000 on it. I prefer the looks on the 3rd gen, and I'm not thrilled with the electronic nannies when off road on the 4th, but that V8 is awesome...
 
Just hit 140k on my '99 Limited, no mechanical issues whatsoever outside of a little shimmy on the freeway. When I bought mine I saw at least half a dozen 3rd gens for sale with over 200k on 'em. That was actually a big factor for me to buy mine...compare that to most domestic cars and SUV's that would have already gone through a couple of tranny's, head gaskets, etc way before hitting 140k.
 
I have 92,000 and drive it more now. It runs great and haven't had any major issues. Last summer I talked to a guy from California that had a 4th generation and asked him what he had before. He said he tradded in his 3rd gen with the V6 that had 255,000 on it and it was running great. That was good news to hear but not a surprise. They are great as long as you do what you need to do to maintain them.
 
ive got 130,000 on my 98 and never had a problem aside from the power antennae becoming detached from its motor. i just took the motor out.
 
I'm only at 133k with just normal maintenance and axle seals at 100k. I change my M1 synthetic and M1 filter every 9k and it burns about a quarter of a quart in that time and has zero leaks or issues and is taken off road about 12 times a summer.
 
Just 119k on my '02. You'd swear it had half that if you didnt know better. My Grand Prix at 120k essentially fell apart. This is a whole different ballgame...and Im loving every minute of it!
 
I hear you, my 97 pontiac trans sport was garbage at 110, blown head gasket, coolant in the engine etc. My 92 accord had 280k when I totaled it, otherwise I would probably still be driving it. The 4runner on the other hand feels the strongest at 110k out of all the vehicles I had when I compare it now. I plan to keep it till it dies on me, hopefully it won't be for another 200k
 
i now have close to 250,000 on my 98, bought it with 180,000 about 3 years ago. Only time it was in the shop was for oil changes, wrecks, and i had the starter replaced yesterday
