Never been much into the mesh filler on grills, but I definitely like the thin horizontal metal strip styles as an alternative to the factory design. If I was going to modify that grill opening, I would eliminate the thick factory horizontal bars, fill the entire opening with thinner strips, and remount the Yota emblem back in the center (that is, of course, if it's structurally feasible--I don't know what's behind a 4th Gen grill).
