Anyone figure out how to disable this in a 2004 4Runner?

What is your top speed on your 4runner? My old one used to stop at 100mph... and it had alot more to go...

I guess that I don't understand. If it had a lot more to go then why did it stop at 100 mph? Are you saying that you think there is some sort of governor on the vehicle? The speedometer on my 4Runner goes to 110 mph. I will have to look at my Camry, I think that its speedometer goes higher than 110 mph.

I would be concerned about the capabilty of the suspension and tires of a 4Runner at high speeds. I have H rated tires (130 mph) in my Camry but the tires in the 4Runner are only S rated (112 mph).

dont understand

why would you even want to disable the limiter ? why would you want to go that fast in a 4x4 ? these are not sports cars, maybe im missing something, if i wanted to go fast, i would have bought a sports car, not a 4x4, please help me understand

Its just to have the ability to go that fast... I drove home the other day in a rental Yukon, which also had a governer at 100mph, I feel the truck is more then stable enought to handle that sort of speed. Its was the same as my Escallade, It felt fine doinin 110-120 mph, and thats why I had it removed on that truck also....- That is my opnion.

And my old 4runner, did have more to go since you can feel the govener hitting, and I would not be able to finish the 1/4 mile with power, it basically feels like they back the timing right off.

I was wondering if you could explain the unlimiter to me. I tried the link above with no success. I am new at this, so I may be missing something. Is there a part to add or take off to get rid of the governor? A bit confused.

Yes the top speed limiter on the truck (170km/h) and this box disables it, so you can go faster

A cheap way to do it, mine cuts off at 113, and it has alot of balls left at that point. Of course when I'm doing those speeds its legal Autobahn

The URD piece is only for the 3.4- which is the one I used to have. It really flew with the SC, headers etc... the unlimiter worked well, I never did discover the real top speed.

However, the Unichip will eliminate the top speed unlimiter. Just ask for it to be done when ordering.
It'll go great with the supercharger I'm still trying to sell.

The URD piece was working great in my truck for a couple months, then all of a sudden it threw some codes out, so I yanked it out and returned it. We will see what URD will do for me.
