torn CV boot at 120k miles

At 85k miles, I installed the 2" Downey lift kit(springs & shocks) on my '97 SR5. My 4Runner now has about 120k miles and the right inner CV boot is torn. The left side looks like it will give out soon. Is it normal for the CV boot to tear at this mileage or did the 2" lift kit shorten the life of the CV boot? If the answer is yes, will lowering the front ride height 1/4-1/2" help alleviate the problem? Downey did sell high angle CV boots (which are tougher than the stock) for my 4Runner, but they are out of business. Where else can I find high angle/after market CV boots that are more duable than the factory stock CV boots? While I'm replacing the CV boots(and possibley the front drive axle), should I also have the ball joint and bushings replaced as well?

ya sounds normal after a lift there so use to being in that one spot they tend to rip there super simple to change like 15min job per side

I would say it is time for it to go anyways. It went 40k after the lift and rubber does age and rot. You are talking about a 13 year old piece of rubber with lots of use on it. As far as who has the high angle boots I know All-Pro offroad has them and I think another couple places as well.
