Torsen diff in axles w/ATRAC

If I upgrade axles I will probably go Tru-trac as I think it'd be super-sweet in conjunction with the ATRAC. IMHO there would be almost locker like performance with seamless, smooth on-road performance. It's been on my wish list since I have had my T4R.

I don't get it. ATRAC is close enough to the TrueTrac in performance that it is not enough of an upgrade for me to spend money. I am bias towards a locker.

Thai, I hear ya... Where I have it is it'll provide slightly better than ATRAC when using the ATRAC correctly but no "upper limit" issues when you choose to add a big helping of throttle. The other issue is (I have personally noted) is the ATRAC seems less effective with wet brakes. My guess is the net would be similar or a hair better than FJC super ATRAC without having the downside of a locker.

Everything I am presenting is based more on mud scenarios than rock crawling stuff.

Same here! Mud gives u-joint a slow and painful death. I like for mine to be killed quickly through the use of torque and traction!

It's funny, I've went and looked over all of my posts (at least ones that would show up) and only hit a brief thread on the discussion. The whole writeup I did with my experience with M-B and their use of LSD's with ESP in AMG's have all disappeared. I got my jeep stuck up to mid door in mud once (it was also the last time)....and I got to pull and grease EVERY u-joint on the vehicle. They were squealing before I got back home...
