Total Interior Renovation

Ok guys, trying to plan out my next big project - totally changing my interior.

The plan: making it mostly black with white accents (cloth or leather seats)

Current setup: White exterior, Grey interior

I think it would look really sharp having the black inside to bring out the black in the exterior trim and I'm just thinking to throw some white in to give some contrast.

My question: What are we going to estimate the cost to do this would be if I went all out? Trying to do it one step at a time so it's not too bad on my wallet (like getting all the seat belts replaced first, wait a few weeks, do the paint work, wait a few weeks, and so on)

Just looking for some thoughts and opinions! All ideas welcomed!

Look for some custom fitted seat covers, or some aftermarket leather kits, and you can use plastidip or some sort of paint on all the interior trim, and do it relatively cheap.

are you going to do any of the work yourself, like the painting of the trim etc..

I wouldn't skimp on the actual seats,, get it done professionally..

That's what I was thinking too. The carpet I could probably do myself but as for the seats, I want to make sure the seams and everything are done right, especially if I go for the two toned look.
 
Ehh, don't be intimidated by adding seat covers. There are plenty of videos showing how to do this. Have some patience and you'll be fine.

Clazzio covers are very high quality, lots of guys on here run them and they are some of the best-fitting seat covers on the market.

You can custom order them for two-tone, stitching color, and material.

Do you think plastidip would work for the textured leather-like part of the dash? I know I can do it on the silver part surrounding the radio and the small door insert and so on but wasnt sure how the rest of it would adhere to the plastidip.

I've had trouble with interior plastics and several types of paint, including plastic specific paint, on my previous truck. I ended up using some vinyl and fabric dye and it worked very nicely.

Advance and Autozone have some Duplicolor in several colors, then there is better SEM brand dye available at higher end auto stores but it's much more expensive.

I did 3/4 of my interior with Krylon and have had no issues over the last 6 years or so.

the seats set everything else off.. if the seats look cheap or not right, it makes everything else look tacky or cheap..or if the seats look badass(two toned, colored stitching etc) and are done by a quality upholsterer, it will make everything else look high quality .

those are nice... they seem to be about $700 and up with the customization he wants.. he can get his seats done by a professional installed with custom colors etc , a one of a kind look for that same price.. or actually a few hundred more.

I dyed all the leather on my doors and a vinyl top on one of my cars..
works very well. they can color match anything too.
