i dont think its the original because i have found small drips that a factory wouldent have made. the owner before me got it that color also. id have to go down the owner line further :frog:

Go to Toyota and they can run your VIN and tell you exactly what color it was originally. It looks like the factory graphite color. Maybe it was in an accident?

Yea go to the dealer, it's not too expensive for a tube that I believe has a pen and a brush applicator. Judging by the picture that is a 96-98 meaning it's 13-15 years old, I'd be surprised if it wasn't in an accident.

its a 98 clean title but i dont know what the other owners did because i havent seen the carfax aha going to the dealer sounds like my best bet tho

yup and if it's not the original color then you should head to a auto body and have them try to match it. it's touch up anyways it will be good even if it's a close match. can't think of anything else. gl

just an FYI but the touch up from the dealer and most other places has clear already in it. Don't know if that makes a difference.

the paint in the link i posted says to clear coat after applying, but in my case i need to clear coat my spots where i use it because im wet sanding the small area first

I'm about to touch up some marks/scratches with touch up paint. Before I start I'm wanting to know if it will look dull or mis-matched. I have a black 05. If anyone knows of some AMAZING paint let me know, and I'll replace the one I have now!

Best thing to do is go to a body shop but there are some touch up paint companies (AutomotiveTouchup for one) which guarantee a color match or your money back.
