Touch up paint?

Do I have to go to the stealership to get touch up paint for my 06'? Where the heck do I find the paint code? Does 292 sound like it? (It's white)

Your safest best is to just go to the dealer, they'll get you the paint code and the correct paint. :bigok:

White should be 056. 4th gen color codes can be found here.

The color code is on the ID tag in the driver's door jam. You can also find it on the window sticker that lists vehicle features and options.

You can buy touch up from an auto store, like Kragen, Pepboys, etc. Most likely it'll be made by Dupli-Color. However, I'm not sure if an auto store would have foreign makes touch up paint readily available. Also, given that Toyota has many shades on a similar color. IIRC, my sales rep says Toyota has over 10 shades of silver produced, I'm sure there are many shades of white too. Alternatively, you can also get touch up paint from Paintscratch.com.

i would just go to the dearlership, i know it sucks there but you will be certain that you get the exact color. It's only 4 or 5 dollars anyways

Agreed. I did this a few weeks ago, and it was ok. We're only talking about 5 bucks or so.

I've gotten paint and supplies from both paintscratch.com and http://www.levineautoparts.com/index.html
Both good.

They also show you where to find the color code on your vehicle.

Unfortunately, I don't. But I recall their name showing up in multiple forums, ClubLexus and ToyotaNation, along with T4R.org.

I got mine from the dealer.
