Touch up stock trim

I just bought a used '03 4runner. It's pretty clean except for some scratches on the sides of the center console (silver paint). I've been looking at dash kits but haven't been able to find one with pieces that cover this area. Does anyone know where I can get touch up paint that would match? Or should I pull the trim and paint it?

I will bet a touch up will still show the scratch, and you'll hate it since you'll see it in front of you every time you drive. Therefore I say pull it off, sand lightly, respray it ,and spray on a clearcoat. I'd find a spray-paint-your-interior-parts-perfectly thread somewhere first if striving for a perfect spray painted finish is paramount.

Thanks for the advice! If I pull this one piece and respray it won't I have to do all the pieces that are this color since I'm guessing it won't match.

If it's very bad and you want to match everything? ..I think the best thing you can do is buy a dash trim kit. It comes in different colors and materials..I'm not sure about the price I Think it's about $120 or so...

:iagree:
get a titanium finish trim kit!
not carbon fibre - kinda rice
not wood - so 90's
just my opinion :D

That's what I wanted in the first place, but I couldn't find a kit that covers the sides of the center console. If these kits exist please let me know where to buy one.

this is an example and pieces you gonna get with this trim kit.

and this is the link for ebay and the different options colors and materials they have available..This specific seller is $165 free shipping but I think they have cheaper ones.

PS:you do not have to put them all if you dont want ...

The problem with a dash kit is that I haven't found one that will cover my problem areas which are highlighted in red. In the diagram of the dash kit it shows pieces for either side of the center console but only for the the top and not the sides which is what I want to cover.

The sides of my console have some sort of chemical stain on them. I'd like to fix it one of these days, I'll keep on eye on this thread to see what you come up with.
