Tow on 20s?

So I've been kicking around the idea of picking up some Enkei Deep Six's in 20 x 9.5, but I've got a couple of questions. I don't really offroad that much, but I do tow my 18' Four Winns quite a bit in the warmer months.

Would these rims be suitable for towing my boat, and if so, what tires would you recommend with them? I appreciate any help you can lend.

the bigger rim is going to decrease your braking performance...not ideal when your towing...(unless your trailer has brakes)

tires..where do you live? going to see any snow? heavy rain? ice?

The higher the load range on the new tires the better for towing.

I guess a little more background would help. I live in southeastern Wisconsin, so although winter weather is a factor, my stock 17s will be my dedicated non-summer wheel/tire combo. Also, my trailer is equipped with disc brakes.

The Nitto Terra Grappler looks like a good functional tire in a 20". The 305/50 R20 120S is rated at 3086lbs at 50 psi, seems to have a good aggressive tread, and has high ratings for wet and dry performance. Does anyone have experience with these?

Terra grappler is a great tire from what I have heard. The load rating is good as well. Anything above a 2500 pound rating per tire and I think you will be fine. The 305's may rub unless you have a pretty large backspacing on your rims. I am currently running 285/45/22's and there is no rubbing on the UCA. Had to trim the fenders a bit though. I also have the cornfed lift and my rims are offset so they are in line with the fenders. If you do not have a lift I would recommend you have your wheel shop test fit a 285/50/20 to see if you will be able to run it.
