Towing a 4runner behind a UHaul

Id start a new thread but because of noob status to this forum I cant.

Not looking for maybes or I read blah blah blah.. I want to hear from EXPERIENCED folk. Keep in mind money is the HUGE factor here. Ill man up and say I dont have much extra since Im living on VA disability, instead of tip toeing around the real reason.

I need to tow my 4r a few hours away. Im doing this as CHEAPLY as possible. On a tow dolly as I understand it I need to remove the 4 14mm bolts n nuts from the drive shaft and secure it up with a ratchet strap. If the front wheels are NOT touching the ground then there is no reason to shift anything into Neutral, correct? Looking for correct answers only.

I tow my 4Runner behind my motorhome regularly. You need to disconnect the rear driveshaft if you're flat towing or using a tow dolly. It's easier to just remove the driveshaft completely than to try and strap it up. 4 bolts in each end of the driveshaft are all that you need to remove. I've never used a dolly, but you might need the steering wheel unlocked.

Do you think loctite is really necessary if its getting taken off again? I saw that in one thread and to me that was being excessive. Red is permanent, blue isnt...

On a 3rd gen, if the rear wheels touch the ground the drivshaft needs to be disconnected. period..
leave it in park.

neither is permanent, with heat both will release, I have not used locktite on drivelines.
